The production and sales of machine tools in the world's 24 major machine tool producing countries are 36.8 billion US dollars, of which the import value is 21.5 billion US dollars, accounting for 58.4% of the total sales. And my country's machine tool imports are less than 1% of the world's imports, only 10% of my country's machine tool sales. Compared with the import rate of other countries, my country's import of CNC machine tools has great potential.
This is because:
First, from the statistics of China machine tool imports in recent years, the import volume and average import unit price of ordinary machine tools have been declining year by year, while the import volume and average import unit price of CNC machine tools have increased year by year. The mainstream of consumption in the international machine tool market is CNC machine tools. For example, in 1998, most of the world's machine tool imports were CNC machine tools. The CNC rate of imported machine tools in the United States was 70%, and that in China it was 60%. At present, the consumption trend of CNC machine tools in the world has changed from the initial breakthrough of CNC electric machining machine tools, CNC lathes, and CNC milling machines to machining centers, special CNC machine tools, and complete sets of equipment. This is the weakness of Chinese machine tool industry.
According to statistics, in recent years, CNC machine tools with a large increase in China import volume include CNC lathes, CNC grinders, CNC special processing machine tools, CNC shearing machines, CNC forming and bending machines, CNC die-casting machines, etc. Common machine tools include drilling machines, sawing machines, slotting machines. , broaching machine, combined machine tool, hydraulic press, woodworking machine tool, etc. Among them, the import value of CNC machine tools accounts for 14.64% of the import value of metal processing machine tools, which is the highest level in history. The imported CNC machine tools are mainly medium and low-grade, while the special CNC machine tools and complete sets of equipment that are widely consumed in the international market are less imported in our country.
The second is that Chinese machine tools are mainly imported into foreign aid, mainly imported to markets such as Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. In recent years, the diversified development trend of my country's machine tool imports has been obvious, and it has begun to expand to South America, the Middle East, and Holland, and the import volume to the United Kingdom and Canada has also increased significantly compared with previous years. The United States, Europe and Asia are currently the main markets for my country's machine tool product imports, accounting for 1/4, 1/5 and 1/6 of our country's imports.
The third is that in recent years, Chinese machine tool import has hovered around 500 million US dollars, and it rose to 785 million US dollars in 2000. With the economic recovery in Southeast Asia and the formation and consolidation of my country's multi-polarized import market, as well as our country's withdrawal from the WTO, the next few years Chinese machine tool imports will achieve steady and continuous growth.
