a. Blanking mold: a mold that separates materials along a closed or open contour. Such as blanking molds, punching molds, cutting molds, incision molds, trimming molds, cutting molds, etc.
b. Bending mold: a mold that bends and deforms sheet blanks or other blanks along a straight line (bending line) to obtain a workpiece with a certain angle and shape.
c. Deep drawing mold: a mold that makes the blank of the sheet into an open hollow part, or further changes the shape and size of the hollow part.
d. Forming mold: The blank or semi-finished workpiece is directly copied and formed according to the shape of the convex and concave mold, and the material itself only produces local plastic deformation. Such as bulging mold, shrinking mold, flaring mold, undulating forming mold, flanging mold, shaping mold, etc.
e. Riveting mold: Use external force to connect or overlap the participating parts in a certain order and way to form a whole
Classification according to the degree of process combination:
a. Single-process mold: In one stroke of the press, only one stamping process is completed.
b. Compound mold: There is only one station. In one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes can be completed simultaneously on the same station.
c. Progressive mold (also known as continuous mold): In the feeding direction of the blank, there are two or more stations, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are completed successively at different stations.
d. Transfer mold: Combining the characteristics of single-process mold and progressive mold, the manipulator transfer system is used to realize the rapid transfer of products in the mold, which can greatly improve the production efficiency of the product, reduce the production cost of the product, save the material cost, and the quality is stable and reliable.
Classification according to the processing method of the product:
According to different processing methods, molds can be divided into five categories: punching and shearing molds, bending molds, drawing molds, forming molds, and compression molds.
a. Punching and shearing mold: It is used to complete the work by shearing. Commonly used forms include shearing mold, blanking mold, punching mold, trimming mold, edge trimming mold, punching mold, and punching mold.
b. Bending mold: It is a shape that bends the flat blank into an angle. Depending on the shape, precision, and production volume of the parts, there are many different forms of molds, such as ordinary bending molds, cam bending molds, curling molds, arc bending molds, bending punching molds and twisting molds, etc.
c. Drawing mold: Drawing mold is to make flat blank into seamless container with bottom.
d. Forming mold: It refers to changing the shape of the blank by various local deformation methods.
e. Compression mold: It uses strong pressure to make the metal blank flow and deform into the desired shape.
